Extremists target press

January marks one year since two gunmen burst into the Paris offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and opened fire, killing eight cartoonists and journalists. The Committee to Protect Journalists documented the deaths of  journalists who were murdered last year by Islamic militant groups. CPJ created a StoryMap to chart the attacks.
